| The annual Community Crime Awareness Day (CCAD) attracts more than 10,000 Mississauga residents to the square in front of the Mississauga Civic Centre to see exciting tactical demonstrations by the Peel Regional Police, to view interesting displays of police equipment, both new and classic, to learn about personal and community safety through presentations, and to collect information about crime prevention and community safety from various community groups and agencies.
The Community Crime Awareness Day is a joint initiative of the Mississauga Chinese Business Association, Safe City Mississauga, Peel Regional Police and Rogers Cable Television that is designed to ensure Mississauga remains a safe and liveable community.
