Since the year 2000, Mississauga had the lowest rate of crime occurrences in Canada per one hundred thousand residents
Annually since 2000, SCM has conducted research comparing crime statistics in Canada's nine largest cities. Every year, Mississauga has had the lowest rate of crime occurrences per one hundred thousand population. This has led many to declare Mississauga as Canada's safest city. Mississauga's low crime rate is the result of a wonderful team effort that includes the City of Mississauga, Peel Regional Police and the great citizens of Mississauga.
We congratulate you for playing your part in keeping Mississauga safe. Make your home and workplace secure; don't be a victim. Report suspicious and criminal activity to Peel Regional Police. By working together, we can ensure that Mississauga remains one of the very best places to live and work.
