Helping to improve the quality of life in Mississauga

Every Mississauga resident must commit to make crime prevention his or her responsibility. A Mississauga that is safe is in everyone's best interest. Effective crime prevention is not the exclusive domain of the Peel Regional Police; it is a community undertaking that involves strong municipal leadership, outstanding policing, the involvement of community agencies such as Safe City Mississauga and the engagement of the public at large.

You have a role to play and you can make a difference.
  • Protect the very significant investment you have in your home and in the neighbourhood in which you live by initiating a Neighbourhood Watch

  • Enroll in the Peel Regional Police's Crime Prevention Academy

  • Learn to recognize normal and abnormal activity in your neighbourhood and learn the appropriate way to work with Peel Regional Police and how to report suspicious and criminal activity

  • Reinforce the entrances to your home with inexpensive but effective high security strike plates and secure your patio doors and windows to avoid being victimized
