This year, Safe City Mississauga and the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) will host the 3rd annual Crime Prevention Conference. The conference brings together crime prevention practitioners and community leaders to discuss best practices in crime prevention, and how these can be applied to make communities safer.

As the conference will take place two days before Remembrance Day, the theme for this year’s conference is “Freedoms”. The keynote address will be delivered by a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, and much of the discussion will centre around how Canada’s military has put theory into practice to protect our safety, and the safety of people around the world.

UTM will also host a Remembrance Day ceremony at the Conference, which will be a very patriotic ceremony featuring the Canadian Armed Forces. We’d love for you to join us, so check back soon for news about how your family can attend!
